In the Rule Description section (step three in the New Mail Rule box) you will need to
specify which words you would like filtered and then specify which folder you would like
those messages moved to. I suggest moving them to a "Spam" folder, which we will
create later. The options you may change are marked and
underlined in blue.
Click on the blue link contains specific words
in the Rule Description field.
The Specific Words box will appear.
Here you will enter the items that need filtering. The key spam words keep changing, so
this area will need to be updated at regular intervals. To get started we will
specify that emails with "$$$" or "make money fast" (both terms commonly used in spam messages)
in the message body should be filtered.
We now have to set up a folder for the spam.
Click the specified link in the Rule Description field.
A box with your Outlook Express folders will appear.
Click New Folder
Name your Folder - Spam - or anything else you may prefer.
Click OK
You will then see your Message Rules box with the parameters you have set
These may be amended or added to at any time.
Create as many new rules as you require, using the most common words and sentences
you see used in spam email subject lines (or body text) as they arrive into your
new Spam folder.
